As a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zubairu Muazu has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the most demanding security environments. His tenure as the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Nigeria’s economic nerve center, saw him effectively manage law enforcement for over 22 million people. His leadership at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Special Fraud Unit positioned him as a key figure in Nigeria’s fight against corruption, financial crimes, and cyber threats.

Beyond policing, he has made indelible contributions to institutional reforms, working with the Centre for Fiscal Transparency and Integrity Watch to enhance Nigeria’s anticorruption framework.
